What to expect during a treatment: During a Reiki treatment clients will be on a massage table in a peaceful setting. The client remains fully clothed and it is recommended to wear loose and comfortable clothing. I will go through a series of positions throughout the body where energy flow needs to be tuned up. I do this by transferring the energy through my hands in order to balance the energy within the client. Positions include around the head, shoulders, abdomen area, and feet. Positions can be altered due to the client's specific ailments and needs. Sessions last between a half hour to 90 minutes depending on the clients request and needs.
What will you feel? An experience from a Reiki treatment can vary from person to person depending on what it is their bodies need. Most importantly a client will feel a deep relaxation at the least. Sometimes clients will feel warmth, a glowing radiance that surrounds them, tingling, or see colors. All of these are from the Reiki energy that is flowing throughout their bodies. Reiki provides a sense of relief of tension, anxiety, and other negative feelings and fulfills the client with a sense of peace and happiness. Sometimes a client will even fall asleep during treatment (which is totally normal). At the end of a session the client often times will feel refreshed, balanced and centered, and a more clear outlook on life.
The Use of Essential Oils: Essential oils are an "essential" resource I use in all my Reiki sessions. Reiki is a therapy that opens up the Mind, Body, & Spirit. Essential oils are a nice compliment to the Reiki treatment that can help to enhance the Mind Body & Spirit as well. using aromatherapy. Essential oils have many medicinal benefits that have been used in time for hundreds and thousands of years. Oils will always be dicsussed with the client first and will most likely be diffused in the air To learn more about Essential Oils and what oils I typically use in Reiki treatment click here.
