Let's talk >>•SUGAR•<<
The holidays can wreck havoc on your body & tricking you into getting addicted to sugar. Sometimes it takes weeks to get those sugar cravings out of your system...
How do you get back into feeling yourself again? How do you kick the sugar addiction?
For me, I try to not let the holidays be a place where I over indulge in sugar. However if I do, I use fruit to get me through those few days (I call detoxing the sugar). Its important to only use low glycemic fruits to do this (berries, citrus, avocado, and olives). I keep a few bowls of cut up low glycemic fruit (mostly berries) to help “detox” myself off of some of those goodies I had during the holidays.
And...although fruit is sugar as well, it is a natural form, not processed and has a ton of health benefits (antioxidants, fiber, etc.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Another great tool is to have a tongue scraper. >>•did you know?...•<< food can stay on your tongue for three days!!! That’s why when you have a piece of chocolate you can crave it days after. So if you do have treats you want to get into tongue scrapping when you brush your teeth! Help to remove any lasting treats!
