There have been many studies done that show that types of music can alter the way a plant grows, better yet how you speak to a plant can also have a positive or negative affect on it's growth. Plants respond to the many ways they are nurtured and have several sensory perceptions. With that being said, if plants can grow positively according to how they are spoken to image what that same positivity can do for you? Research even shows that the words we speak can alter the chemical reaction in your brain! What can this do for your health?

Something I have to remind myself to do daily. It’s so easy to be hard on ourselves and to judge every little thing we do. This is something I have battled with my entire life. I constantly analyze how I speak to others, always wanting the ones in my life to feel loved and supported yet I do not do this for myself. When it comes to others I am careful with each word not to hurt someone’s feelings but, I can so easily batter myself with the harshest comments.
This year I decided to make a promise to myself. My promise: every time I said something negative to myself I would have to come back and say one nice thing. So far its been helping but its something I will always have to work on.
Many times I tell my clients to STOP BEING SO HARD ON YOURSELF! Every step you take is a step in the right direction, no matter how big or small. "We want to see results today" is our society's rules forced upon us, but in all honesty when working on your wellness and health it takes time, simple small steps that stick and a lot of that time is how you treat yourself! If you are looking to make a change in your health, nutrition, or lifestyle you must first change the way you think of yourself!
SIMPLE SMALL CHALLENGE: This week, look in the mirror each morning and at night and say one thing you love about yourself! No matter how big or small. Make this a ritual and see how much better you feel in a week, in a month? How much confidence do you have? How much more positive energy do you feel?
Words can be powerful so make sure you are using strong positive ones only! ...and remember to be kind to yourself, we are all trying the best we can!
